    New Zealand Red Cross provides practical support for refugees once they arrive in Aotearoa, as well as a wide range of services to assist refugees with the many challenges of adjusting to a new culture and society.

    These services include: advice, information and advocacy; crisis intervention and home-based family support programmes; community orientation; community linkages and referrals services; and volunteer training, deployment and support.

    WORK AND INCOME

    WORK AND INCOME (Ministry of Social Development)

    Work and Income helps job seekers and pays income support on behalf of the Government. This includes superannuation payments to retired people, administration of war pensions as well as residential care and support subsidies, including the Community Services Card.

    Other services also include Emergency Housing, International Services, and the Enterprising Communities grants programme.
